That fits how off-price works: the shelf prices are meant to be low all year, so there is no big markdown event to build a sale day around. Store hours around the holiday vary, so check your own store's page rather than trusting a number from a blog.
What to do instead

2026 holiday return dates, per TJ Maxx
TJ Maxx's return policy pages (checked 30 October 2026) list an extended holiday window for gifts:
- In-store purchases made between 10/4/2026 and 12/24/2026 may be returned through 1/25/2027.
- Online purchases made in the same window may be returned through 2/4/2027.
- From 12/26/2026 the normal return policy applies to new purchases.
- Gift returns with a receipt receive a store credit, not a refund to the original payment.
The standard rules, which apply outside the holiday window, are 30 days in store with a valid register receipt, and 40 days from the order date for online purchases unless your shipping confirmation email says otherwise. Online orders can be returned in a store, and items bought in a TJ Maxx store can only be returned to a TJ Maxx store, not Marshalls or other sister brands. Dates can change, so confirm on TJ Maxx's own return policy page before you rely on them.
After Christmas
